Preparation and application of fluorinated polyacrylate // FU Yong-shan*, ZHANG Jun-miao, AN Qiu-feng
Abstract: An emulsion-type (PFA) and a solution-type (SPFA) fluorinated polyacrylate were synthesized respectively by copolymerization of dodecafluoroheptyl methacrylate as a fluorinated monomer, dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate with a side chain having a functional group of ─N(CH3)2 cation, hydroxypropyl acrylate having self-crosslinkable hydroxyl, and butyl acrylate as a hydrocarbon-based monomer. The hydrophobicity and micromorphology of their cured films on cotton fibers and monocrystalline silicon wafers were studied using atomic force microscope, scanning electron microscope, and contact angle meter. The cured films improve the hydrophobicity of cotton fabric and make it have a good washing durability.
